Nintendo’s official website for Virtual Console Japan was updated the other day and the highly-elusive Nintendo 64 video game Sin and Punishment has just been confirmed for release later this month. It was developed by Treasure Co. Ltd. and first appeared back in 2000. It is now priced at 1,000 Wii Points.

We have to say that this is one of the most sought after games to date around the globe. Even though it was only released in Asia (in Japan and then in China on the platform Nintendo iQue in 2004), Sin and Punishment features extensive voice acting in English and comes with Japanese subtitles.

To those not so familiar with it, the game is a third-person shooter featuring main protagonists Saki Amamiya and Airan Jo. They have to fight bio-organic alien enemies known as Ruffians as well as several soldier groups. One of the game’s selling point is Amamiya’s two-in-one weapon which is actually a Dolphin Gun and a Night Stick.

While Sin and Punishment has only been confirmed for release in Japan Virtual Console, we’re hoping that it will be soon coming to other markets as well, given the high demand from fans.
