After getting a lot of flak and subsequently losing a publisher, Atomic has reportedly finally finished their controversial shooter, Six Days in Fallujah. They’re still without a publisher, but apparently the game’s still coming out.

According to an IGN report, a source close to the game’s development revealed that Atomic will still push through with releasing the game. “I can promise you that game is still coming out and it is finished,” the source said. Konami was previously attached as publisher but dropped out due to the negative attention the game got.

Six Days in Fallujah is based on the battles in Fallujah, Iraq, which occurred in November 2004. It immediately caught the attention — and wrath — of veterans, citizens’ groups and bereaved family members of soldiers when it was first announced last year.
