Some Billy & Mandy goodies before the UK release

After The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy was released in North America last November 19, nothing much was heard about this Cartoon Network-adaptation from Midway Games. A lot of you have been enjoying the game since the release, but UK fans haven’t tried it yet as the game’s release is still on March 16.

Now Midway is trying for a big push toward the UK release by coming up with new screenshots. Likewise, the company decided to re-introduce all fifteen characters. For this week, Midway focused on the three main characters:

• The Grim Reaper has a lot of pent-up frustration after having to live with Billy and Mandy, and he can make a fearsome foe. When in a frenzy, only a powerful opponent can end Grim’s reaper madness!
• Billy is a fierce fighter powered by sugar and an acute lack of discipline. Billy is likely to show mercy to a former foe, but only after beating him senseless with his mighty warhammer.
• Mandy is a merciless, unsmiling foe who is as likely to demolish her opponents with her razor sharp wit as with her powerful fists. Given enough time, Mandy could beat up a thousand monkeys with a thousand typewriters.

The Grim Adventures features a battle mode where up to four players use various weapons which can be used to slug it out in arenas like the Desert of Doom and the Underworld. There’s also a mission mode where players can choose to play alone or with a friend. There are 40 missions all in all, with each one offering a chance to unlock new weapons and characters like Hoss Delgado and the Boogey Man.
