Reporter (or still perhaps the same dude who bothered to listen): Bring it on!

Nah, IÂ’m just messing with you, that scenario didnÂ’t really happen (largely because I wasnÂ’t there when Sony made the announcement). However, it is true that Sony has announced that it will held its pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo on May 8, in the Sony Pictures Entertainment Studios in Culver City, California – the same venue it was held last year; there are a lot of speculations going around the gaming circuit that that will be the day and place Sony will reveal more juicy details on its much-awaited next-generation console simply dubbed as PlayStation 3.

Just last week, SonyÂ’s rival Microsoft has announced that its own pre-E3 press conference will be on May 9, at around 11:30 am. E3 2006 runs from Wednesday, May 10, to Friday, May 12. So naturally, companies build around the big event a big happening of their own. Nintendo is the only one left of the Big-Three in gaming industry who has not yet announced any date on its press conference.

All eyes will be focused as soon as Sony starts revealing more about its soon-to-be-launched PS3 console, but if they try talking about something else, I wouldn’t be surprised to see their tables empty, with their good catered food spoiling. If it were for me to decide, they shouldn’t even wait until May 8, like what Rage Against The Machine said, “It has to start some time, what better place than here, what better time than now”.
