Sony approves Earache Extreme Metal Racing for November
For all the scary visuals and the fact you’re racing in Hell (the actual Hell, not Hell, Norway), it’s surprising to see a video game with the kind of approval this one has. Data Design and Earache Records‘ Earache Extreme Metal Racing has reached the approval stage with a kid-friendly rating: 12+ PEGI.
If you’re not familiar with PEGI, it’s Pan-European Gaming Information. PEGI is essentially an ESRB-type body used in 25 countries across Europe.
Earache Extreme Metal Racing is a step-up in some ways from your usual PSP racer. Conceived by a 15 year-old gamer, the game has you picking racing teams based on actual gothic rock bands. Media player maker Archos has even chipped in by allowing the image of their Archos 104 MP3 player to be used as the in-game music machine, which makes for another interesting twist, besides racing in Hell.
Expect the game to come out in Europe on November 3, and be sure that the ESRB will probably not be content with a 12+ rating for this hellish racer.
