Sony: PS3 SingStar “needs further testing”

It seems a PlayStation 3 release date for SCE London’s SingStar is still hazy. According to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony is still in the process of testing the game further along with its downloadable content and various community features.

“We want to ensure that consumers have the best possible experience when playing SingStar on PlayStation 3,” said a Sony spokesperson. “We are therefore taking extra time to test the downloadable content and community features of SingStar to ensure that it is as rich, simple and accessible a SingStar experience as possible.”

The Sony spokesperson didn’t disclose a specific release date. A couple of months ago, Sony sent out word that the game would be available on November 13. Various online retailers have SingStar listed for an October or late November release.
