Sony: PS3s to be upgraded with 3D support

It is inevitable, visual technology will soon go down the path of 3D. Sony‘s PlayStation 3 isn’t any different from others who are looking at 3D, and soon enough, we just might find ourselves looking at a PS3 with 3D.

It is inevitable, visual technology will soon go down the path of 3D. Sony‘s PlayStation 3 isn’t any different from others who are looking at 3D, and soon enough, we just might find ourselves looking at a PS3 with 3D.

In a Sony presentation, the company revealed that upgrading the PS3 consoles with full 3D support is definitely in their plans. From what they divulged, it appears that the upgrade would come by way of a firmware upgrade, which will be applicable to all existing consoles.  Of course, if they are featuring 3D support to the console, it only makes sense that they also produce games in 3D.

No concrete details have been laid out yet on this, but we reckon information won’t be too far behind.
