Sony to Release First Game and Movie Hybrid

We see it all the time, an over-hyped movie with the budget to back it up fails miserably. To try and recover from the losses (in this case $130 million spent, $31 million gross) we will see nifty little gimmick toys at Wal-Mart and stuffed inside some kids meals at fast food joints (or how about 3 different ?Directors Cut? releases on some films?)

The new strategy to get up from the rebound of $100 million lost comes from a deal with Sony. Sony will do their best to turn trash into treasure by releasing the first ever Game and UMD Movie combo on a single disc. On November 15th, Sony will bundle the first three levels of Wipeout Pure, along with an exclusive ?Stealth? track along with the movie. This Stealth track will allow players to pilot the Stealth craft from the movie. This version of Wipeout will still have the same three race modes (single, zone and trials), the the speed levels (vector/beginner, venom/intermediate, and flash/expert.)

Wipeout Pure: Stealth Edition, the Stealth movie, and a 2.0 update can be yours for a price of $39.95US on November 15th.
