After getting pulled out of the PlayStation Store yesterday, Mortal Kombat II is still unavailable. 1UP was able to get a few words from a Sony representative on the game’s current status.

A Mortal Kombat II specification is being upgraded in connection with the release of the latest firmware update. This is one of our top titles on PlayStation Network, we are working diligently to get this back up on the PlayStation Store.

Fair enough, they’re already working on getting MKII back. Those who’ve already downloaded the Midway classic would like to see updates, too. Let’s hope to see Friendship instead of Fatality at the end of this fight.
