Get ready because the Spore universe is set to invade your world sooner than thought! Maxis has announced that Spore Hero for the Wii and Spore Hero Arena for the DS are both launching to Earth this October.

Specific dates are: October 6th, North America; October 9th for PAL regions. The Wii version of the game puts you in control of a critter looking for critter parts so he can save its home from destruction. As for the DS version, Arena lets you play in four-player local multiplayer as well as one-on-one online play.
