Square Enix giving Thexder Neo a worldwide launch
The PSP remake of Game Arts’ late 80s game, Thexder, is now out of the bag thanks to an ESRB listing and the subsequent confirmation from publisher Square Enix. In fact, it’s one of the games Square Enix will be showing off at TGS next week. PSP owners won’t have to wait too long to get the remake, though, as Square Enix is apparently aiming to give the downloadable title a worldwide release next month. More details after the jump.
The PSP remake of Game Arts’ late 80s game, Thexder, is now out of the bag thanks to an ESRB listing and the subsequent confirmation from publisher Square Enix. In fact, it’s one of the games Square Enix will be showing off at TGS next week.
PSP owners won’t have to wait too long to get the remake, though, as Square Enix is apparently aiming to give the downloadable title a worldwide release on October 1. The game’s already been given a Japanese price of JPÂ¥ 1,000 (about US$ 11) but actual prices for other regions have yet to be announced.
The remake, dubbed Thexder Neo, will feature a graphics overhaul, an easy difficulty setting, and an online mode for up to six players. Still no word yet on that supposed PS3 version listed on the ESRB site, but hopefully we’ll hear more about it at TGS. In the meantime, check out these screenshots.
