Square Enix preps for Tokyo Game Show, new portal opened
And trailing the heels of the Leipzig Game Convention, news regarding Japan’s Tokyo Game Show 2007 is afoot. Biggest update is that Square Enix (Final Fantasy, Bubble Bobble) has set up a TGS portal just for the big Japanese entertainment trade show, happening later in September.
Square Enix joins a relatively happy bunch of game companies from different nations around the globe, including scores of investment, business, and technological companies related to mobiles and games. The count back in July 31 hit 168 exhibitors, and there was an absence of Nintendo’s name on the roster.
While the official line-up of Square Enix’ featured games hasn’t picked up wind yet, there’s a good bet that the slew of Final Fantasy games coming to Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable will make a showing. And perhaps gamers on Nintendo’s Wii and DS might finally get the big word on the Kingdom Hearts rumor when TGS 2007 opens doors on September 20, 2007.
