Square-Enix to make a Dragon Quest related announcement

If you’ve been blessed with the ability to read through Japanese newspapers, then you probably already know that Square-Enix will make an announcement regarding Dragon Quest this Tuesday in Tokyo.

1UP reports that due to the date, they believe that the announcement will be about a brand new game and not about anything that Square-Enix has already announced so far.

Fans are really hoping that it’ll be Dragon Quest IX, the timing of the announcement would be a little bit off. 1UP speculates that given the date of the announcement, that is December 12, the announcement could be for a PSP related game. It is however more likely that the announcement will be related to another DQ  spin-off, or maybe even a remake of the older games in the series.

Maybe it’ll be something about Dragon Quest on the Wii? Anyway, we’ll update you when there is more info on the matter.
