Star Wars Galaxies’ Halloween Perks

Who says Halloween is only for ghoulish games? Fans of Star Wars Galaxies should be thankful as the management has come up with some perks you could use on your own Halloween events. The player event perks are in-game resources that you can temporarily place in your city or in the wild areas of planets. They can be rented from the Event Promoters located in hotels across the galaxy. They range from decorations such as X-wings and Tie Fighters to Lottery Droids and flags for PVP games. The perks can be placed wherever you have zoning rights or in some remote areas of the galaxy (but not in NPC or player cities where you don’t have placement rights). Each of them will last for 16 hours.

There’s actually a whole list of Star Wars holidays and events which you can find at theforce.net’s online encyclopedia but so far we picked events that go well with the Halloween season:

The Shadow Night Festival: Set in Endor, young Ewoks would wear fanciful costumes and go door to door asking for treats. While this holiday was originated by the Ewoks, it is not unusual for such customs to spread to other civilizations.

Winterfest: More mysterious and creepy than Shadow Night, this event stars the Night Sisters witches enclave on Dathomir. These witches a little unpredictable, and often they come up with a series of raids such as last year’s, as a form of retaliation for all the raids that had befallen Dathomir in recent years.
