Starz! Cable movies coming to PSP?

It came in on the Reuters newswire today that Starz! cable network is going to be launching an Internet movie download service in conjunction with Sony and Microsoft… could a threesome get any more uncomfortable than that? I don’t think so. This new service called Vongo was launched today and according to the news release, will be catering to PC’s and portable media devices. Given the backing of Sony, could this mean Vongo will be carrying PSP compatible videos of the latest cable movie rotation? The chances are pretty good.

For $9.99 per month, subscribers will have unlimited access to watch more than 1,000 movies at any time on a laptop or a portable media player, the company said. The fee also gives users access to a live stream of the Starz cable channel.

For an additional fee of $3.99 per movie, programming not available on the main subscription service that is made available after six months of a movie’s theater release can be downloaded for rental.
