Summer Coding Competition: Wedge Racer v1.0

 

As part of our Summer Coding Competition, Youresam has released an impressive Lua game entitled – Wedge Racer. Wedge Racer is a 3-D racing game coded purely in Lua, a very impressive feat as it has never been done in Lua before! In the game, you play as a wedge racer (car) and must defeat the computer on a racing track. This game is no easy game, I was unable to beat the computer on the first track when I tried, but I then came back a second try with my brand new red ferrari and beat him!

Wedge Racer features both single player and online modes so that you can always get your game on, no matter where you are! To make the experience even more fulfilling, Youresam has included a level editor that allows you to create and play your very own custom-made maps. So, I went ahead and made my very own map. Although, that turned out to be a complete failure as you can see by the below screenshot!

All of the entries for this competition have been released and a post detailing the voting procedure will be up soon. Good luck in the competition and a great job on the game!
