Following up from yesterday’s update for Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we proudly bring you the special moves from yesterday’s newest character to join the roster of the game. Just as we predicted, King Dedede includes some heavy-hitting, powerhouse moves that puts him up there with the other heavyweights like Bowser and Donkey Kong.

Nothing says power more than the heavy duty hammer that he wields. King Dedede can charge it up with the built-in motor installed in it for more damage or even perform a high-flying aerial smash with it. For all his muscle though, a lot of his moves leave him pretty vulnerable to attacks should he miss, so make sure every hit counts.

Of course, being the self-proclaimed king of Dream Land means having a lot of peons he can throw at his opponents as well. King Dedede has a lot of creatures at his disposal – from his rank and file Waddle Dees to their commander Waddle Doos, with a few Gordos added in for good measure.

All in all, King Dedede makes for a very interesting character to play around with for the game – a combination of power and silliness inherent with his origins from the Kirby series. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is expected to hit shelves this February 10 and is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. In the meantime, check out some more video game screenshots of King Dedede’s powerful moves.
