rbMedia consulting firm, Frank N. Magid Associates, has released the results of their survey, and they found that only 15% of gamers buy DLC for their games. Heck, 43% of them aren’t even aware of what DLC is.

The firm conducted the survey with 800 gamers, nearly half of which, do not know about DLC. The survey aimed to see if gamers are aware of their option to download additional content for their games. 41% know about downloadable content, but they don’t purchase any.

The president of Magid Advisers, Mike Vorhaud, told IGN that “those who aren’t aware of DLC are typically playing consoles that don’t actively promote DLC, such as the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii.”
