Takuyo preparing Medical 91 port for Sony PSP

Medical 91 has its share of anime sweatdrops - Image 1If you haven’t gotten enough of playing doctor, perhaps you’d be willing to settle for playing nurse instead? Thanks to Takuyo, you may get the chance to do just that. The publisher will be porting the classic PS2 adventure game Medical 91 onto the PSP.

If this sounds like fun to you, feel free to “nurse” your interest in this upcoming game. More info awaits you in the full article after the jump.

The main protagonist of Medical 91 - Image 1It seems that medical games have been scarce for the longest time. Even when one like Trauma Center: New Blood turns up, it usually casts players in the role of the doctor, not the nurse. Fortunately, game publisher Takuyo is about to change that. Nope, it’s not a medical simulation, but a PSP port of the adventure game Medical 91.

The story of Medical 91 is set sometime in the near future. It tells the story of a very human-looking android nurse whose real identity is known to a select few. The problem is that this nurse’s fellow androids have been engaging in criminal activities. Hence, the government has dispatched secret agents to track them down.

Takuyo‘s port of Medical 91 will purportedly feature a music player mode along with new CG cut scenes. Takuyo has reportedly scheduled the game’s release date for May 29.
