Tales of Eternia Online to close its doors by March 2007

And so the tale ends.

Sadly, it looks like Bandai Namco’s MMORPG title Tales of Eternia Online will be saying goodbye after a successful one-year run.

Having first officially opened in March 3, 2006 after a number of delays, players of the game will now have to make their final payment this January to keep their account until the end of February. Then, those who subscribed during the second beta trial, open beta, and the final release will be able to play for free from the beginning of March until the day the game closes down.

Bandai Namco has not yet released the reason on why they are making this move, considering the game’s popularity, though many are hoping that the Tales Studio will eventually make a come-back with a new and better Eternia game.
