Tamagotchi for the win!

1

In a time when the world is filled with varying opinions, all you have to do is go with what you believe. And if you believe that you should vote for Tamagotchi, then do so. Yes, we did say Tamagotchi. Its updated version will be going to the Wii, and the game will even have a political theme to it.

This new and really interesting game is called Tamagotchi no Pikapika Daitouryou which translates as “The Sparkling Tamagotchi Presidential Elections!” Are we kidding!? Honestly, we think it’s true. Famitsu can even vouch for that.

In this game, it’s your primary objective to gather as much support as you can from your nation in order to win the presidential elections. DonÂ’t worry, we think your nation has as much as 500 Tamagotchi babies to play with, so there’s no real hard work here. Gathering support from your denizens can vary, but it seems that the best way to get Tamagotchi babies on your side is to go around each town and participate in the town activities. And these activities come in packages of small minigames. Whenever you successfully win the minigame, you gain the town’s support.

Now, we can’t say yet how far the gameplay with go. Will you rear the oncoming president from birth to adulthood? Will your parenting style make him an anarchist, a democrat, or a communist? Well, until the next update, we can only hope that this game will be designed with a more complex political structure in mind. Wouldn’t it be interesting to see a Fascist Tamagotchi at work? Maybe they could even spin it off to “Tamagotchi Wars.”
