With the resignation of former president Yoshimi Yasuda and the legal tussle with Tomonobu Itagaki, Tecmo sure had a pretty rough 2008. But just when you thought that it’s late into 2009 and they’ve moved on with their lives, well, they haven’t. Kotaku reports that Wikipedia caught the publisher trying to edit details of last year’s events out of its own Wikipedia page.

How’d they find out? It seems that a user with an IP address belonging to the publisher was responsible for the editing. The changes involve the aforementioned events in 2008, trying to obscure info and intricacies on the matters and who has left the company.

But if you would take a look at the page in question, it seems that ever-vigilant Wikipedia users have made sure that factual information remains, so the info is more or less accurate. Wikipedia has now addressed Tecmo, telling the publisher to quit editing their own page.
