Tekken: Dark Resurrection online play details
The new Famitsu issue has revealed some more information about Tekken’s online features. While there won’t be a “real” online game mode, players will be able to download “ghost character” data to their PSP, similar to racing games. They can then face off against these ghosts in a local match. Namco themselves will select the best ghost characters, and showcase them on a dedicated website. You will either download these ghosts directly from your PSP, or via PC, putting them on the Memory Stick afterwards. This kind of system has been working successfully in the arcade version of Dark Resurrection, where players can check on their character’s status via a cellphone.
Dark Resurrection will arrive in the US on June 26, and on July 6 in Japan.
