Tekken: Upcoming fight flick, round 2
For Tekken fans who are pissed excited about the prospect of the Tekken live-action movie, this ain’t news on it. With that little detail roundhouse kicked out of the way, we’re letting you know about the other film being produced by Shadow Motion Pictures, and will be directed by R. L. Scott (nope, not Ridley Scott).
Titled Tekken: King of Iron Fist, this short film will be taking place shortly after Jin Kazama’s ending, where after defeating Jinpachi, he now has control of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Unfortunately for Jin, he’s also inherited the Zaibatsu’s recurring problem – Super Soldier/Pyschopatch/Van-Damme Lookalike Brian Fury. And since this is a flick on a fighting game, the short film’s promised to be a long, brutal slugfest between these two bad boys.
Expect to see the film to come out in a few months. But for now, Mr. Scott’s sending out these promo pics to give the fans a teaser of what’s to come.
Last note: We’re not sure if it’s just us…but doesn’t Brian Fury look a bit too young here? If anybody can tell us who’s playing who in these pics, we’ll be grateful.
