Terrain Rendering Engine for Nintendo DS

DSSometimes when something is so good, you can’t wait to show it to the world, and that’s why Didou (or Francois Pessaux in real life) quickly showed his terrain rendering engine for the Nintendo DS.

Though it’s still in its early stages, the engine looks promising. It’s not yet optimized, so don’t get too critical about it. It runs as expected so that’s not too bad at all. Didou knows there’s a lot to be done as he’s not ready to show you the source codes just yet. Transforming a .jpg file to 3D file is not yet possible, but Didou mapped a texture completely unrelated with the elevation of the ground, just so he could test the texture mapping.

If everything falls into place, expect a new game to come out of this new project. We shall wait and see.
