Test Drive Unlimited 2 open beta to start this year

Eden Games and Atari’s Test Drive Unlimited 2 is apparently too big to properly encapsulate in a demo, so gamers are getting a beta instead.

 

 

 

 

Eden Games and Atari’s Test Drive Unlimited 2 is apparently too big to properly encapsulate in a demo, so gamers are getting a beta instead.

 

Director Alain Jarniou told VG247 that the beta will start this year, but the exact date and target platforms have yet to be finalized. The beta’s platforms will be announced soon, though.

 

“Right now, the plan is to have an open beta of TDU2,” said Jarniou. “The difficulty of having a demo for a game like this is the fact it’s a huge island, and a huge amount of data. It’s not the best way to show the game. So yeah, for now the plan’s an open beta.”

 

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is tracking a Fall release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
