TGS 2007: Oboro Muramasa Youtuden trailer

If you loved everything about Odin Sphere on the PlayStation 2, then Vanillaware and Marvelous Entertainment’s Oboro Muramasa Youtuden for the Nintendo Wii should be right up your alley. While featuring the same side-scrolling gameplay and luscious hand-drawn 2D graphics, Oboro Muramasa has one subtle difference from Odin Sphere. Can you guess what that difference is from its TGS 2007 trailer below?

If your answer is that the game has more of an oriental theme rather than the Norse stylings of Odin Sphere, then you’re quite right. Gone are the mystic weapons and creatures of the characters in Odin Sphere, you’ll be doling out some beautifully-animated death via sharp metal sticks that go slash and whack. We’re not sure if the two characters – a male ninja and a female ninja – are the only ones we’ll be able to play as, but one thing’s for sure – the bosses are still epic.

Enough spoilers from us, enjoy the video!
