Turbine, developers of The Lord Of The Rings Online: Shadows Of Angmar have announced that the game has officially entered the Beta testing phase in North America today. The Pre-Beta is being launched simultaneously in Europe under the wings of Codemasters Online Gaming. Already, the Beta is breaking records as it goes along, with 200,000 players having signed up to it, arguably making The Lord Of The Rings Online one of the biggest Beta MMO communities in the industry.
While the Beta is, as of now, invitation-only, the registration will still remain open after the launch, and Turbine is going to include more and more players in the program as it goes on.
