The Sims 2: Castaway Stories coming to Wii, DS says GameFly

Electronic Arts has previously announced that a new bunch of laptop-friendly Sims spin-offs will be coming to PCs next year, but it seems that the new Sims titles will also be making a console appearance.

Video game rental service Gamefly currently has The Sims 2: Castaway Stories listed for console release on the Sony PS2, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo Wii. While this isn’t anything official, it does seem pretty likely. The Sims franchise has become hugely popular and The Sims 2: Pets also got released on most consoles.

We’re also wondering if the Wii version of The Sims 2: Castaway Stories will be more classic Sims-like or be more similar to the upcoming MySims. More on this topic as details surface.
