This year, Brian Brinegar, John Groth, and Chris Deckard have once again locked themselves in a room to play non-stop through each one of them Mario games. Included in their playlist this year are: Super Mario Bros, SMB 2, SMB3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy 1 &2, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Needless to say, that all sounds very super, plus the fact that they’re doing this for a very good cause. Now, if the donations keep pouring in, these guys will go on to finish the whole thing for everything, until the full 100%. So keep those donations coming and let’s see history happen (yet again).

As of this writing, the marathon’s been on the go for a bit over 24 hours already. Donations so far are at a whopping US$ 41,547. That’s already so much mroe than the US$ 29,082 total they garnered for Child’s Play back in the 2009 marathon. They’ve also completed 558 levels out of 675.

Remember, it’s for a good cause! To make donations and watch how the marathon’s going, check out their official website linked below.
