Three new Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops+ screens

We’re sure that a lot of our fellow Metal Gear series fans are as curious as we are about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops+ for the Sony PSP. While there’s no new details floating around, IGN did post a trifecta of new screenshots for us to drool over.

Pretty sweet, huh? The story of this expansion to Konami‘s MGS:PO remains the same as Big Boss is sent on a mission where he finds himself in foreign territory where a new secret weapon is supposedly being developed by terrorists to strike the U.S. and Russia. As the game progresses, the Cold War hero struggles to come to grips as to why he serves his country while fighting the same FOX unit that he worked so hard to form.

New playable characters, new areas and a new Infinity Mission will ultimately set this title apart from its predecessor. Franchise die-hards will be happy to know that Roy Campbell, Johnny Sasaki, Raiden and even the faded Solid Snake of MGS4 will be usable. We’ll keep you updated.
