Thundora (and other Spectrobes) become DS downloadables

 

1Up reports that there’s a Spectrobe named Thundora coming to meet DS lovers everywhere. As part of a new initiative to get more people interested in their game, Disney will be releasing a set of downloadable content for unlocking on gamers’ DS units. All Spectrobes fans have to do to get them is to use their Nintendo WiFi connection to pick up points to unlock them.

Of course, one new Spectrobe creature isn’t all that’s in store, according to Disney’s press release:

Log on each week and accrue points to earn a variety of downloadable content, including the mysterious new Spectrobe. This enigmatic new creature may prove to be the key to saving the universe from the evil Krawl!

All in all, it’s a pretty fun way to get the content, and with no actual money involved, it’s definitely kid and parent-friendly as well.
