For today’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl content update, we’ve been given a treat. Nintendo‘s allowing us to go high up into the clouds to fight on an aerial terrace in the land known as Skyworld.

For those who don’t know what Skyworld is, it’s one of the three realms for the Kid Icarus series of games. Skyworld is the realm of Palutena, the game series’ goddess of light, who is usually captured and in need of rescue whenever a game of Kid Icarus begins.

In any case, Pit’s homeworld stage is a tricky one. Due to some shoddy construction practices, the Skyworld level is easy to break, meaning strong attacks can easily punch a hole in certain floors. This can be very deadly for everyone involved, as an ill-timed power attack can send people plummeting to their doom. Luckily, the floors regenerate over time, so players will have to be good at maneuvering to make the most out of the stage.

Watch out for the next Super Smash Bros. Brawl update when it comes out tomorrow. Till then, enjoy the screenshots above.
