Treasure Island Z uncovered by Famitsu

Famitsu, featuring Capcom's Treasure Island Z - Image 1Thanks to the wonderful Japanese magazine Famitsu, the world can now know about Capcom‘s new project for the Wii. Entitled Treasure Island Z, the title will be directed by Eiichirou Sasaki (known for his past work with Resident Evil Outbreak for the PS2).

Though the Famitsu article in the scan doesn’t say much about Treasure Island Z just yet, what we do know is that the players will be taking on the role of the game’s lead character, who just so happens to be a pirate-in-training.

We also find out that this title will be heavy on puzzle-solving and riddles, so one will also have to make use of one’s thinking cap to get though the game (as opposed to just going with a pirate hat all the way), and ultimately, to get to the treasure.

Anyway, we’ll be keeping an eye out for this new Capcom creation. Yarrr. (Sorry. Couldn’t resist that last bit…)
