Whether it deserves it or not, Treyarch is often viewed by gamers as just playing second fiddle to Infinity Ward. Call of Duty: Black Ops will reportedly blow that stereotype out of the water, however.

“We’re going to let Black Ops speak for itself,” he said.
“We’re always trying to make the best game we can possibly make, and with Black Ops it really is the best work we’ve ever done.”

“We’re going to let Black Ops speak for itself,” said Treyarch’s Josh Olin in an interview with MCV. “We’re always trying to make the best game we can possibly make, and with Black Ops it really is the best work we’ve ever done.”

Its second banana rep’s not the only thing Treyarch is aiming to shatter with Black Ops. They’ve also set their sights on eclipsing the Infinity Ward-developed Modern Warfare 2.

“Every Call of Duty game has ratcheted the bar up for the next one, and we’re just ratcheting up the bar one step further,” Olin said. “I think Black Ops is going to exceed expectations. This game is going to be huge.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops is set for a November release on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
