Trigger happy: the We Are PlayStation photography contest

Say “cheese!” Here’s a chance to prove your photography skills (outside of MGS, at least). PlayStation Europe is holding a contest to look for the best “PlayStation moment” from its fans. But before you go paparazzi on your friends, check out the details for the contest first!

Say “cheese!” Here’s a chance to prove your photography skills (outside of MGS, at least). PlayStation Europe is holding a contest to look for the best “PlayStation moment” from its fans.

And what is a PlayStation moment? Basically a Kodak moment that involves anything and everything with a PlayStation. It could be while you’re playing the PS3 or going ad hoc with your friends via PSP. It can involve the PS2, sure; maybe even PSOne if you still have your loyalties from back then.

You’re trying to capture the essence of the PlayStation spirit here. And you can even land your photo in an official Sony ad too! All you have to do is upload your picture on the We Are PlayStation contest website. The contest ends on March 16, 2009. The prizes are pretty sweet too:

• One grand final winner: €1000 and a Sony D-SLR A350 camera and lens
• 10 runners-up: €100
• 100 third-place runners-up: a PlayStation game or PS Store voucher

There’s quite a lot of rules and qualifications for the contest – ex. rules about staging a shot or excessive manipulating of photos – so I suggest you check out the details for the contest first (see Via link) before you start going paparazzi on your friends.
