CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Season 9 - Image 1Solving crimes is definitely no game, but that doesn’t mean you can’t play one. Ubisoft and CBS Consumer Products have jointly announced today via press release their latest game in the mystery-adventure genre based on the number one television franchise, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The new CSI game will be coming out on the Wii, DS, Xbox 360 and PC, and will be called CSI: Deadly Intent.

Features exclusive to the specific consoles ought to make the experience unique for each. For example, the DS version will have the Hidden Cases carrying an enhanced questioning system and game mechanics with unique touch gameplay. I expect something like the fingerprinting function in Phoenix Wright: Justice for All. That’s a cool function right there.

Game features also include the following:

  • New characters from Season 9 included: Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) and Riley Adams (Lauren Lee Smith)
  • For the first time ever in the CSI video game series, help other detectives in their investigations and gain their respect through your actions and teamwork
  • Collect evidence at the crime scene, search for items that might be related to the case and unveil hidden evidence through observations. Interview witnesses and suspects with an improved interrogation system for more realistic character interaction
  • Analyze the evidence with the latest technology. Use DNA and microscopic analysis and more

CSI: Deadly Intent is slated to come out for the Wii, DS, Xbox 360 and PC this Fall of 2009.
