Umihara Kawase portable add-ons revealed
When it was released back in the 90’s, Umihara Kawase stepped into the gaming industry rather “silently”. Still, it managed to garner a cult following from gamers turned aficionados from the United States. For these said fans of Umihara Kawase, we’re glad to reveal that the Umihara Kawase Portable Playstation version will include new elements that will be added along side Umihara Kawase‘s pre-existing ones.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s first shed light on the game that is Umihara Kawase in regards to a few important tidbits regarding the game.
As said before, Umihara Kawase was first released back in the 90’s, specifically in 1994 for the Famicom. The game is a platformer game that documents the exploits of a little school girl with a reddish-pink rucksack who utilizes a fishing line against enemies and as well as tool to navigate around levels. A PSOne version of the game was made in the past and a Playstation Portable version is slated for release.
Mentioning the Playstation Portable version, sources revealed that new elements will be included in the PSP version,namely: new stages to be added to the 50 original ones, remakes of past Umihara Kawase illustrations rendered by the game’s designer/illustrator Toshinobu Kondo, as well as a “Replay” function for portability.
