Unstable Affliction now unremovable through the PvP Trinket

Those who have been abusing the PvP Trinket in removing Unstable Affliction in World of Warcraft can no longer do so as a hotfix has been applied preventing such move. For those who haven’t seen Unstable Affliction, it’s one of the most painful DoTs in the game. What makes it particularly damaging is the fact that if it is dispelled, it will deal a certain amount of hits to the dispeller. If the character was heavily damaged already, this could actually kill it.

Blizzard Poster/Moderator Vaneras confirms this on the Europe WoW Forums saying that “A hot fix has been applied. Unstable affliction cannot be removed by using Horde or Alliance PvP medallion trinkets.” This is contrary to the original post where he said the problem would be fixed in the next patch.

It’s very good that Blizzard decided to hotfix this and we didn’t have to wait for a patch to correct it. If they didn’t do this, quite a few Shadow Warlocks in PvP would have had to respec their characters and get new equips since it nerfs the class so horribly.
