Unstoppable invasion: Hello Kitty comes to video gaming
We’ve all seen this coming. We just didn’t know when. It’s actually inevitable. Hello Kitty, after all, has invaded every conceivable surface on this planet. From notebooks to bags, to handhelds, to the iPod, to cellphones….the list is endless. This cat is just literally everywhere!
That’s why it didn’t really come as any surprise that Sanrio‘s leading lady is all set for her video game debut. Sega Sammy and toymaker Sanrio Co. Ltd have agreed to form a strategic business alliance. According to a Sega Sammy spokesperson, “Under the agreement…Hello Kitty may appear in our video game software.”
Not only that, they are also considering developing new products based on their already existing characters, as well as look at potential new services and online businesses.
