uo_Ograniser 0.9.2se update released

ograniser9seOnce again, we got another heads-up on Hoshizora‘s latest ‘brew update on uo_Ograniser v0.9.2 from almost a couple of months ago via the QJ forums. The new update for uo_Ograniser is now at v0.9.2se, and this app is based on (and is the extension of) the original program developed and released by modsyn (a.k.a. Ogranise).

Those who were looking forward to the fixed bugs in this homebrew version will find them in this update, as Hoshizora obliges comments and requests by faithful PSP fans. We’ve mentioned that generally, the ‘ brew lets you sort homebrew titles automatically in alphabetical ascending or descending order, remove or restore corrupted data icons from the XMB menu via a 3-way folder name inter-conversion scheme, ignore titles you do not wish to repair in the list, and generate a summary report at the end of the repair operation. The good developer adds that this application is currently the only one which does it on the PSP without a USB connection.

Hoshizora points out the known issues in the v0.9.2se. However, there’s a way to “work around” them and these include:

  • Exiting the program using HOME button may not work in Edit screen. Workaround: Use analog-stick [<] to exit the program
  • If uo_Ograniser is run from within iR Shell, you may experience exiting to the XMB menu directly when you quit uo_Ograniser after a folder read/write operation. The following message “The game could not be started. (80010002)” may be displayed on the XMB menu. This symptom is normal. Workaround: Run uo_Ograniser directly from the XMB menu -OR- Toggle ignore on iR Shell title if you wish to perform folder repair/restore.
  • Program may crash during initialization. Workaround: Restart your PSP and try again

Basically, the changelog in this updated version is a support for GAME150 folder scheme in the Dark_AleX’s recently released 2.71 SE-A Custom Firmware mod. Hoshizora plans to improve the this homebrew by adding capability for sorting  FW1.0 Homebrews and displaying the actual program title obtained from the EBOOT.PBP file.
