*UPDATE* CES 2007: Motorstorm NOT to run at 60fps, 1080p. Sigh.

CES 2007 coverage

So, you’ve seen the demo, read the reviews, viewed the screenshots, and watched the videos for Motorstorm as you eagerly await its North American release this February. Despite all that, one question stayed in the back of everyone’s head: “Will this work on my HDTV or will it all be scaled down to 480p?”

Well, giddy up, kiddies, as the latest CES update has just pretty much confirmed that the PS3 title, Motorstorm, will be running at a glorious 60fps and at 1080p; so ladies and gentlemen, start your controllers.

And yes, you can shed those happy tears now.

UPDATE: Scratch that. Well, so much for the video interview, but SCEA has just retracted whatever previous statement their CES rep has given out and stated that NO, Motorstorm will NOT be running at 60fps at 1080p, but will actually be running at the unglamorous rate of 30fps and at a resolution of 720p.

*sulks*
