Update to Birdy’s Hitachi-LG Friendly Flasher
On the previous release of Birdy‘s Friendly Flasher for Hitachi drives, garyopa commented that the package is not to be used on V32, V36 and V40 drives as V32 code is in the V36 folder and vice versa, and that the v40 code instead has v46 ones, further advising that it’s best for all Hitachi 360 users to wait for an update. Well, here is an update – unfortunately, it’s not yet the update you’ve been waiting for. This updated version of the Hitachi-LG FW package eliminates that cmd-line application for flashing the drive and instead uses a nice GUI tool.
This Windows application still auto-detects a Hitachi drive connected to Windows and its firmware version, restores/flashes with user friendly interface, auto-retries when flashing or restoring fails, and verifies automatically if a flash and restore was successful. Also in this Friendly Flasher is the Xtreme hack v1.2 for all versions.
