Gyrostarr for Wiiware, Alex Kidd in Miracle World and BURNING FIGHT now Available for VC - Image 1We’ve been waiting for this one for a while now. In this week’s weekly US WiiWare and Virtual Console update, we finally have Gyrostarr coming in for a landing. Also this week are the classic games Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Burning Fight.

Gyrostarr is a new sci-fi space shooter from High Voltage Software, the same studio behind the upcoming FPS game for the Wii, The Conduit. Gyrostarr is a shoot ’em up game that can support up to four players, featuring 50 levels that’s sure to get your fingers numb by the end of the day. The game is available for 700 Wii Points.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World is a quirky little platformer that was released back in the 80’s You have to go through 16 levels facing villain after villain in rounds of challenges such as rock, paper, and scissors to rescue your brother from Janken the Great. The game is worth 700 Wii Points.

Last in this week’s update is Burning Fight, the side-scrolling hand-to-hand combat game released back in the 90s. It’s similar to other beat ’em up games of that era like Double Dragon, Fatal Fury, and Samurai Shodown (all of which were already released on the service, actually, so you can complete the collection!). The game is worth 900 Wii Points.
