Video: Major Nelson gives walkthrough on Xbox 360 Avatars
The Xbox 360 Avatars are coming! And of course, since they’re shiny and new, we need some guide to help us navigate through their world. Who better than Major Nelson to do just that? Yep, he shows us how the Avatars roll in the Xbox 360. See it after the jump.
Major Nelson walks us through the Xbox 360’s Avatars in this Developer Diaries video. As with all walkthroughs, this vid shows us how to go about choosing avatars. And of course, customizing them.
The whole process looks very simple. You can create your own avatar using the model avatar you’ve chosen, or you can just modify it by changing its facial features, clothes, and blinging them up with accessories.
What makes the Avatars a tad more interesting, perhaps, is that they do show a series of emotions and reactions. For one, if you rotate your Avatar to see your overall look, the Avatar will get dizzy if you spin him around too fast. Also, by pressing the left bumper, you can get him to laugh, be frightened, even burp.
