Project Gotham Racing 4 developed by Bizarre Creations under Microsoft‘s banner is the fifth in the franchise after a mobile spin-off was released recently. It’s an ambitious project to say the least but it has the makings of a great title. Have a look and find out why:

This is a gameplay footage taken in a straightaway. Notice that the graphics are very detailed and the frame rate provides a palpable sensation of velocity. It’s a short vid, but enjoyable nonetheless.

One thing that the developers are trumpeting which wasn’t too evident in the video above is the variable weather conditioning in the game. It affects not only the visuals but also how your racer handles as the physics change dramatically in sun, rain and snow. Another nice touch is the fact that Xbox Live allows you to download reports from the Weather Channel to match the in-game conditions to what’s happening outside.
