Wal-Mart holding Wiis for April Fools Day?
This news stems from a Wiifanboy tipster, who claims that the Wal-Mart branch in Fairfax, Virginia has a scribbled sign posted up. While there was no comment on handwriting, Memnoch was able to make out what it said: it told employees to hold Wii shipments for April 1 and wait for a circular to announce when the shipments will be coming in.
Okay, let’s say that Wal-Mart is holding back their new stock for April Fools Day. So what exactly would be catchy about a possible prank they could pull if no one’s happy about stores withholding stock or not informing people of their stock deliveries?
Wal-Mart has done this before, like other stores, so there’s no real indication that it could be a (very unimaginative) prank by the management. In fact, they’ve withheld stocks for many reasons. Could this be any different? Wiifanboy isn’t moved, and we aren’t either. But perhaps folks over there at Fairfax could shed some more light into this…
