Wal-Mart: Wii sells well even at US$ 628.38

ps3 - Image 1The Nintendo Wii game console continues to sell well despite its relatively high price. Following this weekend, the Walmart website reports that its US$ 628.38 Wii bundles are out of stock.

The Wii features a motion-sensitive control pad which enhances gameplay in its titles. It is the fifth console released by its manufacturer, Nintendo, in the last two decades and is currently ranked second in units sold in this generation’s three-way console war which includes rivals Xbox 360 by Microsoft and PlayStation 3 by Sony.

On a side note, the PS3 is still the most expensive console at US$ 696.36 while the X360 is the lowest-priced at US$ 569.29. Why the usually cheap Wii is going that high, however, is beyond us.
