Warhammer's award - Image 1EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has just bagged the Most Anticipated Game of 2007 and 2008 nod from the WarCry Editors’ Choice Awards.

According to WarCry Network, the anticipation is mostly based on “the desire to see if this game is ‘The One’. Will WAR be the game to stand toe to toe with WoW? WAR is the Great Green Hope.”

One other thing that makes the wait a tad unbearable would be its PvP system. As you may very well now know, the PvP system has been made to be an integral part of the game.

It will certainly then be groundbreaking if WAR proves to be the “first PvP-centric game to break out of the niche category.” Indeed, it will be fine to see what’s in store for us in this offering from EA Mythic.

But as the release date’s been pushed back to Q2 of 2008, then the most we can do for now is to fulfill the award that’s been given to it: anticipate.
