While we still don’t have a definite date for Warhawk’s Patch 1.3, at the least we know it’s well on its way for release. Incognito is already testing the patch, and has even released new information on the patch to keep us on our toes.

There are a couple of exciting new stuff we can expect from Patch 1.3, but let’s work our way up, shall we? Let’s start with new items that will be coming in: the Mechanic’s Field Wrench and the Bio-field Generator.

The field wrench can be used to repair friendly vehicles, and likewise can also damage enemy ones. The wrench can also be used as a weapon (as some FPS games can attest). Wield it for a one-hit kill against other troops.

The bio-field generator, on the other hand, is meant to be thrown. It will stick to anything, including vehicles. If it’s near an ally, his health will increase, but if an enemy draw near, they’ll take damage.

Warhawk‘s Patch 1.3 will also have new VOIP options. Players can now select between PTT and open-mic communications. Players can also adjust the voice-activation level so that the mic will only detect a certain level of volume.

A display will also be shown on the right part of the screen so you’ll know who’s actually talking.  Finally, you can also enter an “all-talk” server where you can talk to other teams (so you can trash talk each other or schedule tea time).

Finally, with the launch of Patch 1.3, Warhawk will also be integrated into PlayStation Home. Players will now be able to visit each other’s virtual apartments to discuss game tactics. They can also launch Warhawk then and there, straight from their virtual living room.
